Abdul El-Sayed is running for the United States Senate.

On a podcast, he told people to “bash the shit out of Trump” because Trump is “a terrible human being.”

Not defeat him.

Not beat him at the ballot box.

Bash the shit out of him.

That is a Senate candidate talking about a sitting president like a target.

This is the same cheap, vicious language that has already been followed by assassination attempts. Then the same people pretend they have no idea how it happened.

El-Sayed did not slip. He did not get misquoted. He sat on a show, smiled through it, and said the quiet part out loud.

He thinks that is leadership.

It is not.

It is a man auditioning for power by pointing a mob at his opponent.

Ted Cruz is already laying the groundwork for 2028 and apparently thinks distancing himself from Trump is his lane.

Before Cruz starts auditioning for president … where was his SAVE America Act LEADERSHIP?

At 21 years old, Jordan Becker has already lost a leg to cancer.

And somehow, his biggest fight is still ahead.

For more than three years, Jordan has been battling a rare and extremely aggressive osteosarcoma/fibroblastic sarcoma. He has endured major surgeries, round after round of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy.

He ultimately had to have his leg amputated.

But the cancer kept coming.

Now, it has spread extensively to his lungs and other parts of his body.

And Jordan’s family is running out of options.

His most recent round of chemotherapy has taken a serious toll. His white blood cells and platelets have remained dangerously low despite medications and transfusions.

His doctors are planning a bone marrow biopsy to try to understand why his blood counts aren't recovering.

Until they can figure that out, he can't receive more chemotherapy.

His mom, Jessica, is not ready to hear that there is nothing left to try.

She is searching everywhere she can for answers: clinical trials, researchers, cancer specialists, experimental treatments and anyone studying this rare cancer who might have another idea.

She has reached out to institutions and organizations across the country, but finding the right person, the right trial or even the right door to knock on has been incredibly difficult.

That's why she's asking for help.

Maybe someone reading this knows a doctor.

Maybe there's a researcher studying a cancer like Jordan's.

Maybe there's a clinical trial or treatment his family hasn't found yet.

Jordan is so much more than a diagnosis.

He's a 21-year-old son and brother who wants the chance to keep living his life.

His family isn't asking anyone to promise a miracle. They're asking for help finding the next possibility.

The next doctor to call.

The next researcher to reach.

The next door to knock on.

Because Jessica isn't ready to give up on her son.

Everyone at Walter Reed Army Medical Center called her Peanut long before they called her Colonel.

She'd carried that nickname since she was a kid trailing her older brother and sister around Fort Riley in 1965, given to her by her dad's Army buddy, a platoon sergeant named Omer. Her father was a combat medic. She grew up watching him serve, and she decided early on she wanted to do the same.

She graduated Judson High School in San Antonio in 1979. Five years later, in 1984, she earned her commission through ROTC at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she'd also played guard on the women's basketball team. By 1992, she'd added a Master's in Health Services Administration from Webster University. Seventeen years of service later, she was one of the Army's most respected personnel officers.

In July 2001, at Walter Reed's Building One, more than 60 friends and colleagues gathered to watch her get pinned Lieutenant Colonel. Word spread through the halls, and the crowd swelled past 100 people. She insisted the real star of the day was the strawberry cake she'd ordered. "You've got to have a great cake when you're promoted," she told a friend, "because that's all that anyone will remember."

She was wrong about that. But not about much else.

That same promotion sent her to a new post: Medical Personnel Officer in the Office of the Army Surgeon General, working as Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel — at the Pentagon. She was 40 years old, and by every account, at the top of her game.

She'd only been at her new desk for about five weeks.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, Lieutenant Colonel Karen J. Wagner was at that desk when a hijacked plane struck the building. She did not run. Witness accounts say she stayed to help others get out first.

She never made it out herself.

She was one of 184 people who lost their lives at the Pentagon that day. The Army posthumously awarded her the Legion of Merit, the Order of Military Medical Merit, and the Purple Heart. She was laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, not far from where she grew up.

In 2003, Walter Reed named its sports center after her. Fort Sam Houston named the headquarters of its 32nd Medical Brigade "Wagner Hall." Her hometown of San Antonio built an entire high school and named it after her — Karen Wagner High School — where JROTC cadets still study her story today.

She used to joke about her post-Army plans: maybe teaching overseas, maybe hosting a cooking show with her sister, since baking was her thing. She never got the chance to find out which one she would've chosen.

But two decades later, teachers at the school bearing her name say they still look up at her photo every morning before the day starts. Not because of how she died. Because of how she chose to spend the last minutes she had.

That's the part worth remembering.

Pictured below was 29 year old Andrew Bailey who was a security supervisor with Marsh McLennan in the North Tower. He had been raised in Birmingham, England bu Jamaican parents and moved with his family to the United States when he was a teenager. His wife worked as an administrative assistant with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey but was not yet in the office when Flight 11 struck the tower. She had called Andrew to tell him that she had picked up breakfast for them and she waited around to see if he came out until the South Tower crashed and she had to evacuate the area. He left behind both his wife and a child and to forget even a single one of these people is a blasphemy!
