Excited to share my portfolio website!
Check it out, explore my journey, and let’s connect on how I can bring my skills to the analytics world!

I’m convinced that you can get pretty far in life by just finishing things. The world is full of half-written books, half-built businesses, and half-kept promises. You stand out by showing up. By closing loops. By doing what you said you’d do. By having the courage to finish.
South Africa has withdrawn its first draft national AI policy after revelations that it contained fictitious sources in its reference list which appeared to have been AI-generated. https://t.co/KGdln6WrSw
TIL that when you 'delete' a chat in chatgpt, it just sends a PATCH request to /conversation/<id> endpoint with is_visible field set to false. i knew they won't delete your data, but this feels even more spooky now.
doing "delete all" also just calls /conversations with the same payload 🤡🤡
One of my favorite lessons I’ve learnt from working with smart people:
Action produces information. If you’re unsure of what to do, just do anything, even if it’s the wrong thing. This will give you information about what you should actually be doing.
Sounds simple on the surface - the hard part is making it part of your every day working process.
The 2nd #MLZoomcamp module from @DataTalksClub felt like the econometrics unit from @MountKenyaUni in action.
All the stuff I once did in econometrics like regression modelling, feature selection and model testing, are now supercharged with ML workflows.
Same stats, new tools
I really enjoy how practical #MLZoomcamp by @Al_Grigor is. No shortcuts, just math, Python, and patience.
That’s the real learning and practice that most courses out here lack.
Over the weekend, I completed Module 2 of the #MLZoomcamp course by @Al_Grigor.
It was a nice blend of data cleaning, EDA, and linear regression modeling.
The hallmark assignment was to predict car price using linear regression. It was not new, but surprisingly insightful.

@DataTalksClub Flashy models are cool, but in practice:
🧹 Clean data > Fancy model
⚙️ Pipelines > Ad hoc scripts
🎯 Good features > Overcomplicated architectures.
I have learned that this is the stage where projects live or die.

Andrew Ng once said:
“Applied Machine Learning is basically feature engineering.”
Studying CRISP-DM in Module 1 of @DataTalksClub's ML Engineering course made me appreciate how much of ML is really data preparation: cleaning, transforming, extracting features.
Week 1 of ML Zoomcamp ✅
Learning = Coding + Understanding why the math works

🚀 Just finished my first homework for the ML Engineering Zoomcamp by @DataTalksClub !
✅ Explored a car fuel efficiency dataset with Pandas
✅ Practiced handling missing values
✅ Started with NumPy & matrix algebra
✅ Even derived regression weights with the normal equation

This morning, I completed the Data Protection Course at @StrathCIPIT.
Key Learnings:
✅Privacy by design
✅Secure data processing
✅Cross-border data transfer
These skills will enable me to protect data in projects and ensure compliance with the Kenya Data Privacy Act 2019.
