@HtownSportFrk@PauloAlvesNBA We have 5 frps the next 3 years and at least a couple of them will likely be high picks. Our young guys are 21-23 so they have a few years before they peak (SGA is 27 right now). It may be best to keep developing and add more talent over the next few years and then contend.
@RedNinetyFour Everyone obsesses about the Alpi/Reed defensive pairing problems, but the KD/Bari defensive pairing is not good either. They're both too slow for fast wings/guards and both get bullied by bigs. Both are better as weak side help defenders and help around the rim. Just too similar.
@HtownSportsNut@SanAntonioTim@AdamJWexler I don't see any way his value hasn't increased after this season...and his contract is 10m less. There will be a couple desperate teams that would take a swing like Knicks/Heat and give a late first and OG/Wiggins. Get back to developing. They aren't ready to contend yet.
@RedNinetyFour The BKN trade was very good, but getting Morey to give us Maxey and flipping Simmons for multiple picks would have been an elite Presti move. Contracts are his only elite skill.
@asoukuptx Unfortunately the only path is to run it back next year and hope they are much better when healthy since our '27 picks are not dependent on our record and if it still looks hopeless after that, blow it up from GM down for the draft in '28.
@d2derrick@JTGatlin Definitely need JG back so we can increase our O rebound opportunities. KD's efficiency is stealing our put back opportunities and killing our offense!
@JermH18@RedNinetyFour Only reason is maybe another team was asking about interviewing him last summer. At that point he had taken the worst team in the league to the second seed in the west in just 2 seasons. It probably was enough to get some teams interested and they decided to lock him up longterm.
