I'd argue MOST people, me included, used to be totally indifferent to all of this. My position genuinely used to be that I don't care what you do as an adult, provided it doesn't affect me.

I don't feel like that any more. Not even a little.

Somewhere along the road, trans activists and progressives got extremely forceful and loud. And then it became impossible to ignore their bullshit.

"Please let us live in peace" turned into forcing transition on minors.
And forcing men into women's spaces.
And quite literally changing the definition of the word "woman".

In medicine, we have been pushed to change how we understand the female sex in order to accommodate a bunch of men who think they are female (lmfao what the fuck are we even doing?)

Then it was all the legal battles where judges undermined what it is to be a woman. Forcing women to accept men into female-only gyms, locker rooms, bathrooms and apps. Making women feel uncomfortable and unsafe in order to protect the precious feelings of these men.

We have been to thoroughly dehumanized by the trans community.

"Birthing person"

Anything and everything that makes women remarkable, unique, and DIFFERENT to men has been erased so we can include a bunch of mentally ill men in our ranks.

Voicing concern got you fired and socially ostracized. Women have been too terrified to speak up and do anything because, across the Western world, we have virtually no support and no protections from the justice system.

Women (and men) in Britain were (maybe still are) being charged and arrested for MISGENDERING people online. Harassed for pointing out the biological reality that MEN CANNOT BE WOMEN.

And this doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what women, girls and children have had to endure for the past decade or so.

Public opinion went backwards because the most insane people have had the microphone for the better part of ten years. And they have pushed everyone's tolerance to the brink.

Blame yourselves. You did this to yourselves. You have hurt women and children so significantly and so thoroughly that there is no coming back from this.

This is why socialists often have to wait for memories to pass to get young people, as in New York, to embrace their ideology. It is a cyclic, boom-and-bust pattern where socialists wait for new generations to buy into the same failed policies of prior generations.

Jonathan De Barros: “My Principles Are Not for Sale.”

Today, I made what may be one of the easiest decisions of my campaign.

I declined an opportunity that could have brought as much as $250,000 into my congressional campaign because I refuse to compromise my America First principles for political money.

Based on the information presented to me, the organization seeking to become involved with my campaign has been associated with political efforts that opposed President Donald J. Trump and supported candidates whose vision for America I fundamentally reject. My campaign is built on the America First movement, and I will not accept support that conflicts with those values.

I didn’t get into this race to become another politician willing to say one thing on the campaign trail and do another behind closed doors. I got into this race because the people of Connecticut’s 5th District deserve a representative whose convictions cannot be bought.

Since making that decision, I believe my campaign has come under increased political attacks. That doesn’t surprise me. When you refuse to play the establishment’s game and refuse to sell your principles, opposition often follows.

Let me be perfectly clear:

My loyalty is to the voters of Connecticut’s 5th District, not to political action committees, special interests, or anyone looking to purchase influence.

If protecting my integrity costs me hundreds of thousands of dollars, then so be it.

I’d rather lose an election standing for what I believe than win by compromising the very principles I promised to defend.

My campaign remains committed to securing our border, restoring our economy, protecting constitutional freedoms, supporting law enforcement, defending the American worker, and putting America First.

The people, not special interests, will decide this election.

My official statement on the budget, as read in chambers this evening, before I was muted:

"I’ve been a member of this city council going on five years now. And I’ve voted yes on the budget every year so far. All of them had problems. All of them contained things I didn’t like or agree with. But I’m not here to demand perfection, I’m here to work with what we have — within reason.

Unfortunately, this year is very different. And I must vote no.

Even in the context of our dysfunctional city government, this year’s budget represents a complete departure from reality, spending more money than we’ve ever spent — precisely when we can least afford it.

We have never seen a larger single-year increase in spending in the history of this city. Requiring not only new taxes from Albany, but pension deferrals and an eight billion dollar bailout from the Governor. And even still, the revenue projections are optimistic at best.

This isn’t a ‘balanced budget’ — it’s budget by bailout. A ticking time bomb.

And it’s the beginning of a fiscal death spiral that our current leadership will not be able to pull us out of, because they lack both the experience and the seriousness to do so.

What will we do next year? And the year after?

The only responsible way for our city to spend more is to grow the economy. New businesses, new private economic development, major investment. That’s how you grow an economy, and get more money into the city budget.

But we’re doing the opposite. Deliberately chasing away everything our city needs to sustain our spending with childish political attacks on very people we need most.

Our tax base is isn’t growing. It’s leaving.

The middle class, the financial sector, and businesses of all sizes are choosing to go elsewhere. And they’re being replaced with low-income foreigners and transplants who require significant subsidies just to survive here.

We’re trading investment banks and small businesses for delivery app drivers on welfare, and nonprofit workers whose paychecks ultimately come from government spending. That isn’t growth.

And when ordinary New Yorkers complain, they’re told to shut up and leave if they don’t like it. And that’s exactly what many are doing.

This is obviously unsustainable. But nobody in this chamber really seems to care.

And what are we getting for our money? We already spend more in real dollars AND per capita on everything from schools to housing to healthcare than anyone else in the country.

We can’t even build a public bathroom for less than three million dollars.

Why would anyone believe that shoveling even MORE money into this broken system will improve anything?

It won’t. I guarantee that we’ll all be sitting here again a year from now, with the exact same problems, listening to the exact same lectures about how the city needs even MORE money, AGAIN.

At what point do we, as a City Council, start to demand results before we allow more spending? When do we demand accountability?

The answer seems to be never. Because this spending isn’t really meant to fix anything. It’s meant to keep the machine going, keep the money flowing into the special interests and nonprofits and the political allies of the Mayor, with no real consideration for anything else.

I realize a lot of people don’t want to hear this, but we are a municipal government, not a sociology experiment or a political slush fund or the United Nations.

We are here keep the lights on, keep the water running, pave the roads, and put criminals in jail. That’s it. And we would be very well advised to get back to basics. Because we’re failing on nearly every count, other than our peerless ability to hand out free money.

Shame on this Council for pretending this budget is anything other than a disaster. I know that my single vote ultimately doesn’t matter here, but nonetheless I won’t put my name on it. I respectfully vote no."

The next Department of Homeland Security Secretary will reopen the border — just like Alejandro Mayorkas did.

Then, when democrats regain control of the Senate, they will nuke the filibuster

They will stack the Supreme Court, add 2 new democrat Senators with the creation of DC as a state, & establish a permanent democrat majority.

RE: Islamic Culture in the Middle East and Central Asia

I sense that too many Americans do not understand the public face-saving that is integral to Islamic culture in the Middle East and Central Asia.

I recall numerous times I dealt with government or military officials in the region where they let me know that what was being said publicly was in no way related to what was actually going on. A leader or politician in these countries will never, ever publicly say the truth if the truth suggests weakness or vulnerability. Never. It just does not happen. They will lie publicly with outrageous bombast, knowing full well that what they are saying is untrue, because their culture demands it.

Additionally, they respect the strongman. The strongman who speaks with ferocity and then backs it up with deeds is always respected (or feared, depending on the situation).

These are vital concepts to understand when analyzing the public pronouncements of the Iranian regime and the Truth Social declarations of President Trump. The Iranians must save face no matter what. Literally none of their public pronouncements can be trusted as being accurate or truthful. At the same time, when Trump posts things like “ending a civilization,” he is NOT TALKING TO YOU. He is talking to the mullahs in the only language they understand. In fact, as the Democrat/Media Complex derides Trump as an idiot for such pronouncements, HE is the one who is culturally attuned in a very profound way that totally flies over the heads of his critics.

These are vital concepts that must be understood to accurately interpret the very public exchange of declarations between Trump and the mullahs.

Today Gov. Lamont and Legislative Democrats declared a legislative “emergency” to pass a 95-section omnibus bill, without transparency, process, or public hearings. To them, it’s an “emergency” when they need to pass their political wish list of mandates on towns and spending for politically-connected groups.

But the real emergency in Connecticut is the cost of living emergency faced by our working families and small businesses, like Expert Auto Services and its owner Steve Oakes. I stood with Steve today and millions of Connecticut residents like him in favor of leadership to address the real emergency in our state. As governor, I’ll reduce electric bills by 20%, reduce taxes on families and small businesses, and make our state affordable once and for all.
