@White_Chapel0 @declanganley Read what I said, and chill. Once the mains power goes- any installed battery or solar systems can be used without a gateway/isolation switch - that is for good reason. However such switches are prohibited when drawing a grant. I just love keyboard warriors who know it all.

@White_Chapel0 @declanganley Not SEAI - it’s ESB. You *could* install a switch covertly- but if you were inspected for the grant you were screwballed

@fearmiotail @declanganley Nope. Gateway or isolator required. Both of which would render a failure of a grant inspection. They also limited what can export to grid recently to 5kwh (inverter capacity) Many systems generate far more. Eg I have 10kwh panels

@allbelowutd @CarlowWeather No, in this case it’s not. Look at the map. Galway city is nearly 60 miles from the Atlantic coast. People see the bay and think Atlantic, when it actually isn’t.
