@HakiKNCHR engaged a delegation of civil society organisations (CSOs); key partners in advancing human rights and strengthening democratic governance in Kenya.
The delegation comprised:

The CSO coalition presented a petition raising matters of importance to the Commission and shared recommendations to strengthen collaboration, coordination and constructive engagement between the Commission and civil society.
The Commission values civil society’s critical role in advancing human rights and will engage with the coalition on the issues raised.
KNCHR looks forward to continued consultations and meaningful partnership in the spirit of openness and shared commitment to a stronger human rights protection framework for all.

Community land registration is about more than securing a title; it is about building the institutions that enable communities to govern their land and shape their future.

This is the vision that drives #SajiliArdhiYaJamii campaign recognizing that secure community land rights are built not only through legal registration, but also through strong, meaningful representative and accountable community institutions.

As part of our ongoing efforts to advance community land rights and governance  in Marsabit County, IMPACT Kenya worked alongside the Ministry of Lands, the National Land Commission, county government, local leadership, and the Korr–Ngurnit community to facilitate the election of a representative Community Land Management Committee (CLMC); a critical institution that will guide the community through the registration, governance, and sustainable management of its community land.

For us, this is more than a governance milestone. It reflects years of investing in community awareness, strengthening local institutions, promoting inclusive participation, and building partnerships that enable communities to realize their rights under the Community Land Act.
