@barbibee @benedtl This is so inaccurate. A core piece of this is making Election Day a holiday, and having absentee provisions for those disabled or out of town for legitimate reasons. VBM has not increased participation.

@Real_EdDiehl Thanks for the clarification!! Coming from a state where the only time a ballot could be mailed was for absentee purposes (tightly controlled process) the whole notion of widespread VBM was just foreign to me.
Personally I’d favor making Election Day a holiday.

@ammocanski @benedtl Whatever differences you have with @Real_EdDiehl you can’t take away the fact he was perhaps THE biggest “push” initially to organize the grassroots in a very cohesive manner. This got done fast because of that!
