Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was a husband, father, and small business owner who called Houston home for the past 35 years. As he drove to work earlier this week, an ICE agent in an unmarked van shot and killed him.

His family deserves justice–beginning with a thorough, independent investigation–and Lorenzo deserves to be remembered not as a victim, but as a man who loved his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them.

When he was running for reelection in 2020 the Republican Party decided to essentially abolish their platform and that their new platform is whatever Donald Trump wants. That is not a democracy. He's trying to get rid of the American system of government and that means getting rid of a government that does anything other than serve him and that's what Project 2025 is all about. Trump and his movement are not running against Democrats. They are running against democracy. 1. In Nov 2024, either the Democratic nominee or the Republican nominee will be elected President. That’s it. One of those two. No one else.

2. So if you truly believe Donald Trump is unfit to be President, if you truly believe he’s a threat to democracy, then your civic duty is to vote for WHOEVER the Democratic nominee is. Period. Not vote 3rd party, not run for President yourself, not sit out that race for whatever reason. No. If you truly want Trump stopped, your ONLY move is to vote for & campaign hard for the Democratic nominee.
