@_miloj@JoeThorntonLab This was necessary for comparing the effects of mutations across the WT proteins and detecting specific epistasis; not adjusting for background differences will cause nonspecific epistasis.
@_miloj@JoeThorntonLab What you want is the phenotype of all WT proteins measured at the same expression level. We unfortunately do not have that because we had to adjust the expression level for each WT so that all of them show the same activity.
