@thefarneislands Lovely sighting, in three years and hours of seawatching from Brownsman, Porpoises and Minke whale were the only cetaceans I saw.

@thefarnes Survived a night on Brownsman as one of the Wardens in 91 with winds at force 11, we lost a huge number of roof slates, listened to them pinging off all night at the mercy of the elements!

Mossy Lea AM,10 Red Grouse on moorland, 1 Raven over & 2 Kestrel hunting. Mixed thrush flock held 43 Fieldfare, 16 Redwing & 2 Mistle Thrush. 11 Blackbird also. 30+ Lesser Redpoll was noteworthy. 1 Goldcrest & 1 GSW on Shire Hill. 1 Reed Bunting near farm house. #derbyshirebirds

@birdinginasuit @AngBirdNews @angleseycouncil Dulas is vital wildlife refuge. Fed up with people abusing places like this. it's bad enough with jetskis around Point Lynas and Ynys Dulas disturbing seals and nesting birds. At least the dog walkers stick to Traeth Lligwy. It's up to all of us to challenge ignorant behaviour

Picked up a couple of dead bats from a friend at Warren Carr whose cat has become too efficient. Advice given to keep cat in at night. One is obviously #Brownlongeared the other is keying out to #Brandts bat on tragus shape and forearm length.

Spent 6 hours on Derwent Edge, Bradfield and Strines Moors today looking for the #beardedvulture
Saw #kestrel #goldenplover #stonechat #wheatear #raven #meadowpipit but no vulture despite sightings over Dungworth yesterday

@DanielCMartin1 @BirdsDerbyshire @Derbyshirebirds @TimBirchWild Not even many Red Grouse and I foolishly slogged back off piste through the most manicured shooting areas. Only Raptors were an adult Kestrel mobbed by begging juveniles.
