@arieldjarn Hello from Singapore! Stumbled upon your Netflix special and so glad i did cause it was hilarious! Just thought you'd want to know that I'm now hooked on Trapped thanks to your glowing review.
Word of the day is 'philodox' (17th century): one who is in love with their own opinion, and who consequently believes that everyone else should share it.
@duolingo @DragonDooder Some lessons make me want to claw my eyes out because they are so basic (e.g. how to say mother in German). What do you reckon is the point of cracking those lessons and forcing us to review them when you said they wouldn't crack?
New #GoogleCloudBadge! I've been wanting to improve my networking (both virtual and in-person, ha), so this was a really interesting one because I got some hands-on practice in configuring VPC networks and firewalls. #GoogleCloud#100DaysOfCloud https://t.co/HMk7clSMwK

More #codingtips, instead of using plain old booleans, spice up your #APIs by using 1 and 0. But wait, not good ol' integers, that's #basic. Store them in string form. Alternatively, use "true" and "false" for extra pizzazz. #developers#codinghell
Instead of using a map/dict, why not store all your mappings in a plain string, split by a delimiter, populate a list, then iterate through that list to get the mappings you want. It's way cooler that way! #codenightmare#codinghell#codingtips#Developers
The specs I provided asked for a Boolean and a string field, which mirror the resp body of the API. What compelled you to map everything to an exception?
Genuinely need help understanding why people use "1" and "0" (as in string, not int) for true and false. Why can't they just use a Boolean? Is there an edge case I'm not considering? I don't get it! #code#coding#programming#programmer#webdev
So i finally decided to try out the #GCP console app. I configured my pod on #gke. I even debugged my #jenkins pipeline?! Ended up building an #API to test if me jenkins was working. Thanks to #CICD it was built and deployed immediately so now i can go to bed happy :')
#DevOps
I tried to build a fresh React Native on the new Apple MBA with M1 / 16GB ram. Cache cleaned.
It took 25s.
To compare, the same task, executed in exactly the same conditions, on my MBP (13", 2018, Core i5 2,3GHz, 16GB ram) took… 1min21s.
…and without any fan noise 🤯
Perhaps this is the exactly why the election hinges on a few key states when it shouldn't even be this close. Maybe people are simply jaded. Idk I don't understand US politics very well. I frankly don't even understand that of my country. Or maybe sometimes people are just dumb.
policies are informed by religion. It's ironic really. What we hate about our country, we can probably see it happening in US as well. This really should give him all the more reason not to support the incumbent leaders, but it didn't. Perhaps it's his cynicism and jadedness.
