@pplsartofwar not to downplay the negative effects of such systems, but its benefit to the body of the PLA was likely significant and lasting. As in, the wealth accrued by high ranking members would have attracted those otherwise focused on private corps anyways

If we do, then that means there must be some relative level of validity to others. If we don’t, then “reality”, as it lies outside perception, is either intuitive or unknowable
