@EricBalchunas Meanwhile, the percentage of Americans who believe in a Big Man in the Sky has plummeted to a microscopic 81%. Comon man:-)

@syouth1@EricBalchunas Access via a brokerage platform makes a huge, underappreciated impact in people’s probability of buying. Bond and gold ETFs great cases in point. And with gold it definitely did push up the broader market, which is fine. Efficient democratic access should be the regulatory focus.
@MebFaber Most notable on that cap table: Binance, Tom and Giselle. What a week. Can you say ‘ring fence?’ The blockchain space will be better for it longterm.
@tomwrer@DaveNadig Not in the SLIGHTEST. The answer is not to have huge swaths of passive investment and no governance. Good corporate governance is fundamental to capitalism. Hallelujah that asset managers are working to pass that on to the actual owners.

@EricBalchunas Oh boy. I own that one!!! Scored very well in the https://t.co/aaRtAqVqmf scoring system! We needed to implement the long tail geopolitical metric apparently…
@dabner Pure politics of course - the same reason the hammer, so to speak, has been dropped on Russia in every other economic area, some of it enforced by regulation and some of it enforced by (un)popular opinion or management with agendas. We are at a crossroads.
@EricBalchunas@FiSurgi Such a nice team Philly has. Embid is an absolute beast. They really should have beat the Suns last night. One piece all they need. It ain’t Harden.
@Rick_Ferri It is hard to disagree with the concept that someone will always take the free $20 bill laying on the floor. Your example, though, is an interesting one. The S&P 500 is selected by committee.
"Godfather of ETFs" @regbrowne talks to Jon Lukomnik for the latest episode of his "Outside In" podcast to discuss the future of ETFs and finance's role in systemic inequality. Listen:

@EricBalchunas This is pretty amazing. Flows is a great stat....often they do also move with the market, or of course. Some of these really are eye-popping.
