According to the UN, "Africa's youth population will triple soon, making it the majority of the world’s youth. Yet, projections show only 400,000 jobs created annually."

The message from the #YouthConnekt2024's Pan-African Youth Union's Session urges the youth to:

🛠 Demand support but FIGHT through challenges.
💡 Be creative.
📱 Leverage social media—our time's most powerful tool, to showcase skills and connect globally.

[YouthConnekt Africa @YouthConnektAf]

“The problem is we fight alone, we make it alone, and only we benefit. Imagine if we flipped the script—those of us who’ve made it, putting others on; sharing job tips, scholarships, opportunities—basically, say one country has fire, lights up another, who in turn passes it on, and soon, all of Africa’s on fire (in the best way of course)! We would all glow together, not alone."

– Moumouni Dialla, President, Pan African Youth Union

HAPPENING NOW AT SUMMIT OF THE FUTURE

•Informal employment dominates Africa's job market.
•Youth are taking the lead in job creation, but the government's role is lacking.
•Addressing these challenges is crucial for Africa's economic development.
