Forager Sarah Watson: wild food courses, foraging walks, wild cocktails. Not a big Twitterer! Find me on Insta @wild.feast or Facebook @wildfeast ππ§ΊπΏ
@highweald @marcuswareing Thank you for the mention! π π§ΊπππΏ So pleased they left in my bit about hedges being great for biodiversity π€π³π³π³
Recommend viewing on BBC2 and iplayer....I might be a bit biased as I make a few appearances! π Not least taking the delightful @marcuswareing foraging π³π§ΊπππΏ #marcuswareing#wildfeast@PlimsollProds
@marcuswareing Enjoying every episode @marcuswareing Loving the beautiful @highweald countryside in the sun and the relaxed, happy vibes.π I felt you were genuinely interested in wildlife habitats when we met - would love to see that translate into future episodes on your smallholding.π³πΈπ¦π¦
@DavidHedgecox2@marcuswareing@HairyBikers I think the inimitable Keith Floyd started the outdoor cookery trend back in the 80s. Underrated for his impact on cookery shows imo! βΊοΈ
@SimonHillExeter @RobGMacfarlane It's not wrong that the aril (flesh around the stone) is toxic! The stone is toxic, but not the flesh. I've eaten the flesh of the fruit myself, as have other foragers and people on this thread.
When just starting out in botany, we know that the botanical terminology can seem a bit daunting. Wildflowerhour aims to help with a new series! The fab Grantham Ecologist first focuses on the leaf base and explains the term βcordateβ. #talklikeabotanist@BSBIbotany
Our grandparents and parents experienced a country richer in wildlife than we do now. This urgently needs to change. Young people from across the UK are joining us today in Westminster to ask politicians for a #WilderFuture. You can help: https://t.co/plvqAYHneZ #EnvironmentAct
Yay! 25 followers π I've not been very good on Twitter so far.π
Here's rosehip & tomato sauce I made for my rosehip preserving course this wknd. Went on handmade pizza base with cheese, wild pesto, pickled wild garlic buds & wild mushies.
@Hastings_Fish@oldcustomhse19@YouTube Great instruction @oldcustomhse19, easy to follow! I find flatfish filleting takes a bit of practice, but means you can get the whole fish at offer prices from local fish shops. Plaice is so good right now!
