I am proud to present my latest article in @theASE Primary Science magazine, which describes our school’s inspiring @NatureFSchools journey and the equally inspiring people and organisations who have helped us. Thank you. Read about our journey on https://t.co/TdYXx5AFjl
I’ve just found this board for a game amongst some possessions I haven’t looked at for possibly a decade or two. I must have rescued it from being thrown out. But what is its name? Can anyone help? @BoardGamesPER@play_boardgames@BoardGameGeek@BoardgamesDaily @boardgamesjames
We have just held our first school @pokemon tournament, facilitated by @MightyLGames (thank you so much) to create an exciting battle between a dozen pupils. Everybody was a winner and all are eager to battle again. @PokemonTCG@PokemonTCGUK#pokemon

@30DaysWild Day 17 - Think about what would happen if it didn’t rain any more. We are taking part in the RHS Grow With It task of growing plants and monitoring their water use. It has raised a lot of talk and questions about how we use water. @YorksWildlife @RHSSchools
Bark found in a park,
Ripped from a tree. A child’s joy.
Ignorance. Trees die.
Old plants are destroyed; new plantings are destroyed. In time, trees in public areas could become the exception. Natural playgrounds lost. Never has education on nature been so urgent.
Great to meet Cllr Angela Walker today (left) and show our school nature sites, discussing the possibilities of how @East_Riding and Burlington Juniors can work together to sow, grow, plant and promote trees in our local community. @TheTreeCouncil@YorksWildlife@bridtowncouncil
Brilliant to welcome @ciecyork into school as our Y5 children undertake Children Challenging Industry @airproducts and our staff enjoyed training this evening #CIEC#ChildrensScienceQuestions

That time a horse sneaked into a cycling race
In 1997, a horse jumped over a fence and joined the peloton of the of the Critérium International, eventually passing it, leaving the race only 20 km from the finish line.
We are shocked and desperately saddened to learn that the famous Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian's Wall has been felled overnight, in what appears to be an act of vandalism.
We know just how much this iconic tree is loved locally, nationally and by everyone who has visited.
We are working with our partners to understand what has happened and what can be done.
The incident has also been reported to the police.

We had a wonderful time at @YorkshireWP last week - stayed at the Hive - great breakfast - very hot and sunny but got to meet loads of animals including the Amur Leopard - Emily had done a school project on this. The Amur Tiger greeted us - the Okapis were amazing. #leopards
