@SuellaBraverman Maybe its something to do with all the promises made by you and other hard line Brexiters before the referendum that were never ever going to be deliverable. Brexit is killing UK manufacturing & exports to our nearest and biggest trading partner & its was all sadly predictable
@Worstedjumper@johnredwood The UK has not been food self sufficient since before WW2. What are we going to do for all the produce we cannot grow in our climate and when British crops are out of season? Also our exports when we produce surplus in season will have have a contra duty added reducing exports!
@Katie_Lam_MP I'm sure Katie will be head of the queue at the mineshaft with her helmet on and pick axe ready for a 10 hour shift a mile down into the earth?
@RightSide_Uk Norway had the good sense to retain ownership of the oil & gas and create a wealth fund with the revenue. Thanks to Maggie Thatcher we sold ours off at bargain basement prices to private investors and now we must purchase it back at market rates!
@Matt_VickersMP The @Conservatives tragically rotten Brexit deal threw 1000s of great British family businesses under the Brexit bus so I suggest you accept responsibility for that before criticising the party that are try to fix your mess!
@DanielGoldersUK@GoodwinMJ That says that despite the fiscal drag of Brexit red tape British businesses are fighting hard. It is also a pat on the back for Labour as they are making progress despite domestic & international financial headwinds!
@BellaWallerstei The schools that are closing have been poorly managed, loss making & in decline for years. Closure was inevitable regardless of VAT changes
@GoodwinMJ@LiamHalligan@spectator Interest on debt accumulated by previous governments. For context between 2010 & 2024 @conservatives tripled national debt. Also @reformparty_uk party comprises mostly ex-conservatives so make of that what you want!
@59W00dy59@blademanphil Brexit has crippled trade with the EU for Britains SMEs, food exporters, fishery etc drowning in costly paperwork & delays. UK Car assembly has all but collapsed with factories shut down. Ask any business and they will all tell you the same.
@chatswithem And of course this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact the @conservatives sold off all the UK energy firms and extraction rights to private investors so must now buy back at global prices that spike every time some idiot starts a war!
@johnredwood It re-opens UK businesses to friction free trade with the worlds largest free trade club that happens to be right on our doorstep. That delivers jobs, investment and prosperity which is something the UK desperately needs right now!
