The #POSTOFFICEAUDITSCANDAL started as early as 1999 when the Auditors @EYnews warned of the inability of POCL to produce a set Statutory Accounts to a suitable degree of integrity due to serious issues with the Horizon System.

Moving forward to the 2003/4 EY chose just a SINGLE Branch from a network of 12,000 to support the integrity of the Horizon Accounting System.

In answer to the question from Counsel at the Inquiry "Do you consider it was a satisfactory way for the Board to satisfy itself of the accuracy of the Company Accounts? Unbelievably COO David Miller answered: "IT WAS VERY LIMITED" !!!
