@BenjiNaesen I’m sure it’s per the rules, but it seems crazy to me you would get expelled from the race for that. Sent to the back of the bunch for that day, docked time in GC, all points deducted from any other classifications all seem reasonable but expulsion from the race seems very harsh.

@BenjiNaesen I completely agree with you that the current protocol isn't properly applied, just pointing out that the current protocol is woefully inadequate. But not really sure what the solution is considering the dynamics of the sport.

@BenjiNaesen Whilst a quick check of their balance, focus, memory etc is better than nothing, and will probably catch the worst cases, you need to conduct a full assessment after the race to identify all potential concussions.

@BenjiNaesen Completely agree that the bare minimum isn't being done, but proper concussion tests are just impossible mid race. In a sport like rugby the test takes up to 12 mins by the team doctor. Doing that roadside would require motorpacing back to the front if they passed the test.

@BenjiNaesen @laflammerouge16 The frustrating thing is they still can! Jayco showed yesterday that having a long leadout doesn't necessarily work. Could so easily put one man in the break, make life harder for the top sprinter teams, and still have plenty of support for a leadout if needed.

@BenjiNaesen @laflammerouge16 All the other teams except for Alpecin, Trek and Quickstep would increase their chances significantly by getting involved in the break rather than chasing and waiting to get beaten by Philipsen, Milan or Merlier
