For the last two years, I’ve been helping to build @AledadeACO’s climate program
In that time, we’ve significantly reduced our emission intensity, gone CO2 neutral, and helped to kickstart the market for carbon removal
This year, we’re committing to go even further — a 🧵
My lobbyists are very nervous about me posting this, but over-regulation is working against us all. The costs are astronomical to us all, but hidden.
So, I'm taking a risk, and sharing my stories from Charm and Revoy:

Gonna try and make this my last response.
I made one random post about not canceling a candidate you agree with on 97% of issues.
It blew up. I got swarmed, and suddenly SF NIMBYs were repeatedly lying about my résumé — calling me a charter school lobbyist (I was a public school teacher!) until a reporter embarrassed them into stopping.
I live in Texas.
I’ve been targeted by the GOP here for being progressive, Brown, Indian-American, Hindu, and even hit repeatedly from actual GOP officials with threats of deportation; but until yesterday, no actually dug through my résumé and deep searched my life, and pulled out an old op-ed from one of my former students to try and lie to say “he didn’t teach in a public school.”
Wild.
And now an actual organization in SF is saying they want to “defeat me.”
…Defeat me? A guy who tweets, ran for office once, and lost? A private citizen? Are y’all planning to fly to Houston and challenge me to a duel?
If you’re spending time beefing with a random Texan, it’s pretty obvious why y’all never managed to beat Speaker Pelosi.
It’s hard to imagine NYC DSA wasting time like this; they actually know ball! A wild concept, I know.
Meanwhile, I live in a state where right-wing billionaires control everything. We’re fighting uphill battles every day just to get people basic healthcare or housing under a GOP that only helps billionaires.
It must be nice to rack up Ls in a city with no real stakes, decide the real enemy is some rando in Houston, and call it “activism” while your one actual political priority is blocking new housing from being built.
Yall may think artisanal NIMBYISM is leftism, but it’s not. It’s a right wing ideology.
Khan is not a socialist (alas); she’s a New Brandeisian capitalist who wants anti-trust laws to be enforced. That’s it. The real problem here is billionaires have fried your brain to such a mist that you think any governance imposed on the rich heralds violent revolution.
You could chose your leftism to be identified with A) Build tons of cool fast trains and airports and affordable homes or B) Use a lot of weird words no one understands and ABOLISH COPS and 'eating bananas is actually colonialism.'
One of the above works
Saikat Chakrabarti — AOC's fmr chief — isn't like other progressives: He's extremely wealthy.
He's worth at least $167 million per his financial dsiclosure. He may be wealthier than Nancy Pelosi, who he's running to unseat in SF.
I asked him about that. Here's what he told me:
