@mattworkman I would say the government would. Eventually there will probably be some propaganda or ai generated video someone sees and believes that causes them to act out. Usually something bad has to happen before regulation steps in.
@TheCinesthetic I’d argue it’s because we stopped shooting on film, low key lighting and having good reference of things on set. Digital cameras have gotten so sharp and high res, it’s hard for cgi to keep up. Film allows so much addition compositing of grain, hallation, etc to hide things.
@ByterBoy@smarick And how much math can the average person today do without a calculator? I still see people relying on it whenever they tip. AI covers beyond math, almost every field of critical thinking and problem solving/decision making.
@mr4567890123@PeterTarka Hard disagree for people who work in 3D or design. The tools are way more advanced and the understanding of form, motion, composition, lighting, color doesn’t go away. We already create from nothing. It is and will be that easy.
@DavidAriew Still to this day using your trick of converting greyscale maps to “float”. One of the best tips that has stuck with me since the beginning!
@TimothySawyerMD@truthseek3r3@jeffreytucker Maybe some people will want to watch robots compete in Olympics and some people will want to watch humans. I can’t relate to a robot in physical aptitude so I find more value in watching human Olympics.
@jeffreytucker You’d have to boycott digital everything at this point. Go back to painting/sculpting physical art and going to concerts/symphonies/theater. I work in 3D/VFX, even own a studio and this stuff turns me off so hard. I genuinely am looking into taking painting &carpentry classes.
@PawnDriver@IsThisA3DModel The 3D community is the kindest and most open community out there. Go to any event and it’s filled with amazing talent that loves to share, grow and teach. It’s one of the most selfless communities out there. It has an infinite ceiling so you always have room to grow.
