#CAPhys2023 wrapped up day 1 with an extraordinary highlight: the captivating #HerzbergLecture by Mark Kasevich, delving into Gravitational Physics with Atom Interferometry. An enlightening finale to an incredible day! 6/6
Edward Csuka, a #physics teacher from Port Coquitlam and a recipient of the 2022 CAP Award for Excellence in Teaching High School/CEGEP Physics, has visited @CERN for a 17-day trip of a lifetime! #IPP@Perimeter@TRIUMFLab ➡️ https://t.co/dUnOWKm01H
Governments rarely apologize for their errors. So why did the Biden Administration nullify the 1954 decision to revoke J. Robert Oppenheimer’s security clearance? @Kaibird123 explains. https://t.co/cQSiio7Sdj
Vitamin B12 is the world's most expensive vitamin, and the scarcest one in the human body. As the world transitions to plant-based diets, B12 deficiency will rise. Finding ways to fortify food with B12 may help to keep people, as well as the planet, healthy. Find out more:

The Enigmatic Pioneer of Black Hole Physics 📑
Before the famous physicists Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose, there was Roy Kerr, a New Zealand mathematician. In 1963, Kerr discovered the exact solution to Einstein's field equations, known as the Kerr metric, which describes the properties of rotating black holes in space.
This groundbreaking discovery revolutionized the field of astrophysics and provided a deeper understanding of the behavior of black holes. The Kerr metric revealed that rotating black holes possess an event horizon (a boundary beyond which nothing can escape), as well as an ergosphere, a region where objects can extract energy from the black hole's rotation.
Kerr's discovery continues to play a fundamental role in our exploration of the mysterious and captivating phenomena associated with black holes.

Canada must address this important issue not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also to remain competitive as a global player in science and innovation. https://t.co/lzdIzF5DWA
Happy 5th Anniversary to us! Officially 5 years ago today that STEAM PEI was incorporated as a non-profit. Spontaneous photo op...missed about 3/4 of the STEAM Team, but hard to catch everyone in one place at the same time.
Day 4 of the #AMAZINGNESS of @GuelphPhysics! #DYK ... a "hmm, that's interesting" moment in Dr. John Dutcher's biophysics lab led to a multi-million $ personal care biotech company, recently acquired by Swiss cosmetics co. Mibelle Biochemistry #ItsOurTime

Day 2 of the #AMAZINGNESS of @GuelphPhysics ... #DYK we have a command room in MacN that communicates directly with @NASA? Students working with Dr. Gellert do research on #Mars! Retweet if you think @UofG needs to support us, promote us, not pause our programs.

Based on details of the negotiated deal, I completely agree with this statement. Instead of negotiating in good faith, the @UPEI Board/Admin focused their energy on throwing faculty under the bus through public communications designed to blame, divide, & demoralize faculty.
