This guy from The Netherlands emailed me asking if I'd come on his podcast.
I didn't want to, so I used my usual line: "I'll only do it in person in Victoria."
Welp, the SOB called my bluff.
Flew 12 hours, mic in hand.
Well played, @WouterTeunissen.
It turned out great:
A partner at a prominent law firm told me “AI is now doing work that used to be done by 1st to 3rd year associates. AI can generate a motion in an hour that might take an associate a week. And the work is better. Someone should tell the folks applying to law school right now.”

A good thread on the importance of emotions in investing. As Buffett noted “Success in investing doesn't correlate with IQ... what you need is the temperament to control the urges that get other people into trouble in investing.”

Defending democracy means accepting election results that don’t go your way. Congrats to Donald Trump - I hope that he brings people and the country together. 🙏🇺🇸
8 Biographies everyone should read
• John Rockefeller
• Cornelius Vanderbilt
• James Patterson
• Henry Ford
• Harvey Firestone
• JP Morgan
• Thomas Edison
• Andrew Carnegie
One lesson from each:
Hard for me to support someone with no values, lies, cheats, rapes, demeans women, hates immigrants like me. He may cut my taxes or reduce some regulation but that is no reason to accept depravity in his personal values. Do you want President who will set back climate by a decade in his first year? Do you want his example for your kids as values?
Understanding Risk is Key to successful investing.
Howard Marks has done a phenomenal job at explaining what risk actually is.
Spoiler: It's not Volatility!
I believe every investor should hear Marks' ideas on risk:
SpaceX has only been around for 22 years and is doing laps on, well, the entire world.
Europe and Russia have largely done nothing in the last two decades to address the competition.
SpaceX just put a rocket into orbit today that will extend its lead dramatically, while just about everywhere else is trying - badly - to catch up to the SpaceX of 2018.
The U.S. and China will dominate space for many years to come. Maybe permanently.
