@OctagonNetworks@prasannahn1997 I'm on my phone so I don't want to look into it, but a decade ago I encountered a bug that I think was in C or C++ but the ways abs was implemented in a 2's compliment numbering system, the absolute value of the largest negative number remained the largest negative number.

@FrankMcG I'm a tech and I voted for GRC. A CISO should have *some* technical experience, but in the end the role of the CISO is to develop the cybersecurity practice such that long term financial goals of the business don't fail. Just hire technical people to accomplish your goals.
The specific problem is that while the monthly mortgage is less than the monthly rent was, the yearly repairs, renovations, and extra utilities (heating oil, etc.) Far outweigh the monthly rent at least in my case this first year.
I made the mistake of calculating my #FIRE timeline without recalculating my #budget specifically for #homeownership, which is both relatively new to me and apparently much different than living in an apartment budget-wise. It uh, a pretty big error.
@joshgausden I don't. Its a depreciating asset, and I need it so I will never really turn it back into money. I use my net worth as a metric to understand my ability to FIRE and since my car doesn't really contribute to that I don't include it.
