@HoweGeneration In April 2024 I randomly asked my high school aged son what I should invest in, he said "whoever makes Zyn" (because they'd gotten so popular with students)
I now fully grok the term "rage bate" after watching this video. https://t.co/DYp6IcjTbT I feel bad for the next generation of Linux users who might expect their free OS to do any and everything perfectly out of the box with little to no effort. #getOffMyLawn :)
I wasn't able to search my Google Keep Notes starting a few months ago, Yesterday I realized I was no longer able to upload files into Google Slides, and today I can't clip a video in YouTube.
@MinswapDEX how long does it take for swaps/orders to fill? I see buy/sell transactions for the pair, but I have an order and a swap sitting in pending for over 15 minutes
Bought Disney+ for a month to watch Andor on a recommendation from a friend. The experience was surprisingly bad. Constant buffering, or just dropping a stream all together, booting me back out to main menu. No issues with other streaming platforms.
@otrv45 Ditto, as a long-time Arch/bspwm user I gave it a spin on a test machine. His Hyperland config matched nearly identically to my bspwm windowing commands. It won't replace my current setup, but I just might leave X for Hyperland with my next install.
I haven't seen this much mass confusion since the early days of jQuery. Junior Devs couldn't discern jQ from JavaScript syntax. Arch Linux is the OS, Omarchy is a set of packages and configuration. At least in the Rails heyday Ruby was acknowledged & celebrated. Different times.
As part of my job in IT, I have to setup new Macs all the time. It takes hours to deploy a single machine that's ready for employee use.
It's crazy that you can have an Omarchy computer ready in a couple minutes, and start working.
@learnemacs@dhh Here's a starting point that focuses more on theming than packages https://t.co/sJRadbTes5 someone please take this and run with it! #emacs#omarchy
