@martinahogg Yeah, really interesting! Recently went through a simultaneous remortgage and purchase and it was a nightmare even with my parents acting for us. So much back and forth over email. There is definitely a need for this but the process is far more nuanced! Would be keen to chat
If you need to multiply 1034482758620689655172413793 by 3, all you need to do is bring the last digit to the front:
1034482758620689655172413793 x 3 = 3103448275862068965517241379
@buildsghost It’s a tough one, I think the best advice is to avoid disabled buttons if you can, and instead guide users to what they need to do.
I think the WCAG guidance on not meeting contrast requirements is okay, as long as you pair it with a higher contrast explanation.
@ZaraNanu @elonmusk Yes, I don't understand.. I thought blue tick meant independently verified? Does this mean it's only going to cost $8/month to verify my @RealZaraNanu account?
@elonmusk Totally agree with paying for access to premium features. But given plans to open source Twitter and create a democratic platform, the badge could be for anyone who is a 'Twitter sponsor' with optional amount and premium features available at set price thresholds
@elonmusk The problem with this model is that you are still creating a lord/peasant dynamic but at a far more divisive threshold in society.. the well-off kids' parents will pay the monthly fee and the other kids' parents won't...
"Unless we do something about it, we're looking at a 60% gender pay gap in 20 years' time, and even worse if you look at it from an intersectional angle." @ZaraNanu, CEO @gapsquare and previous @SETsquared_Br member, at #BridgingTheGapConf
Peer-to-peer applications and digital money existed before Bitcoin. Usually the most profound innovations come from combining existing concepts. That's not to undermine the incredible thinking that was required to do this so simply and beautifully
@TheoPaphitis So true! One has to fail over and over to create a baseline against which they can appreciate success. I've been proudly failing for a long time now... 😅
Great to see continued interest in building longer-lasting, sustainable products. Hopefully we will see the rise of things getting fixed again! The bonus? Sweet cashflow / post-sale revenue for UK manufacturers. Just need systems built to manage this..
