@IsaacOkoroFan I think Allen is more talented than Turner but I think Turner is a better fit for us
And yeah I didnt have enough characters to say that Id offload Shroder and Strus to open us up to the MLE.
If we got something back for Strus though like a wing then it wouldn't be possible.
@itsEquip@IsaacOkoroFan I think Allen is more talented than Turner, but I think Turner is a better fit.
He'd pull rim protectors out of the paint and really open up Mobley's game as well as driving lanes, while offering rim protection and letting Mobley still be a "free safety" type on defense.
@realcavsfans Feel like if you want to sustain any real success now, you have to do it on only 2 max contracts, and both those max contracts have to offer you offensive creation ability.
@RealDCunningham Does targeting a true stretch-5 like Myles Turner do more to maximize Harden and Mitchell's driving lanes as well as Evan Mobley's interior playmaking than hunting a wing?
@KingTiger262 He was averaging 15.8 POTAST p100/poss in the reg szn, (98th %tile).
When he plays like that we are def a finals threat.
10 in the offs. Which isn’t bad, but he does seem to get tunnel vision in the playoffs. I still believe in him. He just has to lock in. Play more methodically.
Cavs: Myles Turner, John Collins (S&T)
Clippers: Jarrett Allen
Bucks: Expiring Contracts, Draft Assets
Gets us an extra big, improves team spacing to open up the offense. Bucks get off of a long term contract going into a rebuild. Clippers get their big.
Thoughts?
@realcavsfans The tough thing, too, about having him basically be our only really good defender, is that you really like him playing off ball and causing havoc because he's so good at it, so if you need him to play POA on a wing that basically takes that away, and vice versa.
@conjf1@MikeLucasTV How does Schroder being bad mean that Harden isnt good?
Harden had a +13.1 on/off oRTG this playoffs (97th %tile) he averaged 11.6 potential assists and 32.6 points created per game (99th %tile)
No average player can put up those stats in the playoffs just by playing heavy mins
@realcavsfans Was just basing it on the data you showed, the fact that it would probably maximize Mobley by giving him space, would keep the frontcourt big enough for boards, and the fact that he's likely available to be acquired.
