Before you vote, remember that they promised that refineries would work after they removed subsidies
They expended billions on the portharcourt refineries and Co
Ask them what happened to the billions
Remember, they had to rebase and change the calculation methodology before inflation hit 15%, and even with that, ask them why interest rate 27% and inflation 15%
Ask them why you will have close to 50 billion in reserve and they claim they make revenue they met their target, but out of over 200 billion for health, they can only fund 36m
Ask them why, despite all the promises that removal of subsidies will help them fund projects, the Ministry of works budget of over 3 trillion was just funded with 700 billion
Ask them why they can't tell Nigerians that despite announcing subsidy gone in 2023, they paid subsidies until 2024 before they NNPC was forced to tell us the truth
Ask them despite all their postulations. The managed floating of the Nigeria sent the currency to dizzying falls, and they still intervened like they are currently doing .
Ask them as we celebrate the strides of the stockmarket, devaluation has made stock cheap.
Ask them that despite importing food heavily have farmers been able to return to farms because of insecurity
Ask them what happened to the Beta Edu investigation in the humanitarian ministry, till date we haven't seen anything
Ask them why did we spend over 150 billion to buy a new presidential jet when we could barely fund healthcare
@spoiltkid The scale of weaponised poverty demands a mindset shift. But how do you think clearly when you’re hungry and poor? You lose your ego. You lose your voice, sometimes even your integrity is threatened.
Mindset shift could be the only recourse.
We Continue to Confirm our ‘Now Disgraced Status’ as a Nation?
Let us all pause and pray for the souls of over 150 innocent lives lost in Kwara yesterday. This tragedy is precisely why I delayed commenting on the outrageous and shameful news surrounding our electoral system. The Senate's blatant rejection of mandatory electronic transmission of election results is an unforgivable act of electoral manipulation ahead of 2027.
This failure to pass a clear safeguard is nothing short of a deliberate assault on Nigeria’s democracy. By rejecting these essential transparency measures, they are eroding the very foundation of credible elections. One must ask: Does the government exist to ensure order and justice, or to institutionalise chaos? Is its purpose to serve the people, or to fulfil the sinister ambitions of a select few?
The turmoil, disputes, and manipulations that plagued past elections, especially the 2023 general election, stemmed directly from the refusal to fully implement electronic transmission. Nigerians were fed excuses of a fabricated “glitch” that never existed. While numerous African nations adopt electronic transmission to bolster democracy, Nigeria, the supposed giant of Africa, shamelessly lags behind, dragging the continent backwards.
We are wasting time hosting conferences and drafting papers on Nigeria's problems while we, the leaders and elite, are the real issue. Our deliberate resistance to reform is pulling the country backwards, dragging us toward a primitive state of governance.
By rejecting mandatory electronic transmission—a critical safeguard for electoral integrity—we are entrenching disorder aimed at perpetuating confusion according to the whims of a small clique. Have we not reached a point where we must think seriously about the future of our country and our children? Should leadership not focus on building a credible, orderly, and livable nation for the next generation, rather than one permanently ensnared in chaos?
When the former Prime Minister of the UK, aware of our history, labelled us “fantastically corrupt,” we reacted defensively. When President Donald Trump declared us a “now disgraced nation,” we were incensed. Yet, with every act of resistance against transparency and reform, we continue to affirm their claims. Those responsible will later point fingers at others for harming the country while they quietly suffocate its potential.
Let there be no illusion, the criminality witnessed in 2023 will not be tolerated in 2027. Nigerians everywhere must start getting ready to rise up, resist, and reject the backward trajectory, legitimately and decisively reclaim our country from the clutches of deliberate malevolence.
The International community must take heed of this groundwork for continued future electoral manipulation, endangering our democracy and development.
A new Nigeria is POssible but we must all stand and fight for it. -PO

THE SAGE OF BITCOIN ETF
Someone who is not very conversant with the crypto space and certain terminologies might be wondering why there is so much noise or hype about the Bitcoin ETF.
For a twelve-year-old, let's try to understand what Bitcoin ETF simply means, but before then, I am certain we may already know what Bitcoin is and what cryptocurrencies are.
The essence of this brief write-up is to help us understand what it is and how beneficial it is to know what a Bitcoin ETF is. It's not intended to serve as business or investment advice.
WHAT IS BITCOIN ETF?
Bitcoin ETF in simple layman's terms, can be seen as the ability of someone, like you and me, to have bitcoin or gain access to it through an investment scheme. That means you can invest some dollars in fiat or cash in Bitcoin trading and gain the dividends in bitcoin (BTC), which automatically makes you a shareholder.
The investment scheme here is not a Ponzi scheme or other numerous investment platforms you may have heard of or seen out there; it is a scheme sanctioned by the world's recognised stock exchange body, referred to as the SEC (the Securities and Exchange Commission).
It is important to know that there are several other ETFs (exchange-traded funds), which basically operate like mutual funds from a cluster of investment securities. This write-up is not to explain all trading terminologies or how they work in the actual sense, but just to let you know that this is a legitimate basis for an investment opportunity.
It will interest you if you haven't noticed already, that these investment opportunities are on the rise daily, and access to information is key to enabling early grabs of the vehicle of financial stability in the long run. Traditional investors are excited because they won't have to be perplexed about understanding the complications, fears, anxiety, and pain of trying to understand how BTC, blockchain, or cryptocurrencies work.
CAN I INVEST FROM MY COUNTRY?
You may wonder since this sanction was granted by the United States SEC, if I can invest in any other part of the world. You got your answer right there: cryptocurrency is global, investments are done globally, irrespective of zone, and we are in a digital age. Though not yet approved or regulated by most other parts of the globe as of the time of this brief expose, it is interesting to note that you can still invest from where you are, but might want to research further on legitimate platforms that’ll enable you to invest. Such platforms are usually referred to as brokers, and there are many online with most times zero trade commissions.
HOW BENEFICIAL IS THIS?
As I mentioned earlier, traditional investors' adoption is evident, as it has given grounds for mainstream adoption of Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry at large, as all entry channels will be the same as with other ETFs and a responsive investment environment.
Credibility streams are opened up among investors and traders, as regulatory policies will boost the security of all channels with compliance benchmarks across the chains of engagement.
You and I, who didn't buy Bitcoin when it was very cheap, now have an opportunity not to lose out completely.
WHAT WE SHOULD KNOW
1. There are several ETFs. For instance, in Bitcoin, the SPOT BITCOIN ETF is not the same as the BITCOIN FUTURES ETF. Do your research, and be certain. The former ‘invest in bitcoin directly,” while the latter can be seen as the dividends expected from whatever bitcoin price or value becomes in the future.
2. The Bitcoin Futures ETF, has been traded in the US stock exchange market since around 2021.
3. Every investment comes with its own inherent risk, and you should do your due diligence. It is risky to invest, but it is also risky not to invest.
4. Numerous platforms will spring up within this period to swindle you of your funds with the name SPOT BITCOIN ETF. If you fall prey to them, all we can say is sorry. Ensure you get access to the right channels because every fraudster always ensures that they appear credible.
5. Knowledge remains key, especially keeping tabs on the regulatory bodies, because one man can assume the space of leadership and thwart the existing regulations, so it is best to remain informed about happenings around the space.
6. No one knows it all.
7. All asset classes are included in exchange-traded funds (ETFs), such as bonds, equities etc; some offer holdings exclusive to the United States or other Nations, while others are global.
8. ETFs are traded on the exchange just like stocks are.
