. @Adobe Creative Cloud has by far the most insultingly difficult cancellation user flow I have ever experienced. Adding licenses: super easy and rubbed in your face everywhere. Cancel existing stuff: literally impossible outside of the 1 month cancellation window.

I never thought of it like this before, but this is yet another reason why BSL and other proprietary licenses for smart contracts (or even no license, as some protocols have) on public blockchains are truly heinous

These IP approaches undermine the 'right' of 'free exit' through contentious forking, which in crypto is really the only minority 'right' in most situations and the excuse/justification for why stronger more legalistic minority protections are not needed
