@spidergenome similar to laforet, nearby is omotesando hills and shibuya 109 which also have a load of stores
more generically, GU/uniqlo are good for your basics and often end up good value

but if there’s a fashion/style you’re into, you can lmk and I’ll see if I or friends have any recs too

if you’re going to be around Harajuku, laforet has loads of good small brands for a lot of different subcultures

also I’d be amiss if I didn’t shout my favourite unisex brand kinglymask, not far from Harajuku’s main street

@spidergenome day trips out to places like kamakura were good, though depending on time of year could be off season — teamlabs exhibitions are very photogenic - echo that thrifting for merch/books/cds etc., is good, but for ones that are off tourist streets because there a usually markup

@spidergenome super depends on your interests and where you’re staying — if you’re interested in idols, there’s always lives of smaller groups. I always end up doing a lot of shopping for JP clothes or cosmetics, but again, depends on interests 1/

I don’t know if the VR version was the trigger for it but it’s probably near the same time.
