I am thrilled that our study behind this picture is now published. In this work (https://t.co/qri1TZn6zH) we succeeded - for the first time - to solve a Kondo-lattice model for a real material quantitatively, namely for the heavy-fermion material CeIn3.
Our finding brings us closer to a quantitative, and someday predictive, understanding of #quantum phenomena in bulk materials, such as unconventional #superconductivity.
A comprehensive determination of antiferromagnetic superstructures across the entire magnetic phase diagram of EuPtSi₃ showcases the potential of resonant elastic x-ray scattering for research on complex magnetic and electronic quantum phenomena https://t.co/3odRnjzM4M
We recorded nice data at DESY, Hamburg, which allowed us to determine the magnetic structures of EuPtSi3. The preprint is now available here:

Register for the brand new workshop “Wellenspiele” (“games with waves”) that @JanoschekMarc and Yves Müller from @psich_en designed for the Kinderuniversität Zürich (@KinderZurich)! #Outreach https://t.co/whIiY8lJvk
My talented wife @iamangelabivins just released her song “Falling Star”. Witnessing her process of creation was insightful in that it was remarkably similar to me writing a paper. Moments of joy alternating with frustration! Please listen and share!#scienceandmusic#Creative
Last weekend we had our traditional annual @cqumatUZH group BBQ in our backyard together with all families and collaborators @GuguchiaZurab and Daniel Mazzone. Great fun to have everybody hang out ranging in ages from a few month to a few decades. #team#family
