"Французский экспедиционный корпус гумьеров в 1943 году после высадки в Италии массово насиловал женщин, детей, подростков обоего пола, заключенных и даже священников.

В 1947 году Рим направил в Париж официальный протест – ответили отписками. В 1952 году парламент Италии заслушал свидетельства жертв и оценил масштабы трагедии: как минимум 20 тысяч только зарегистрированных случаев, всего как минимум 60 тысяч.
