When I decided to revisit Star Fox 64 7 months ago, 2k seemed miles away, 2.5k seemed like a pipe-dream, and 2.6k... wasn't even a thought in my mind.
2.7k is the estimated (bc outdated boards) WR for Easy Route, and suddenly it doesn't seem so far off.

Got the Corneria WR back! Borrowed a couple strategies from @Moonlight_Leaf and came up with some new ones of my own. I'm getting better scores with more consistency than with my last WR.
I'm happy with 374 for now, but I'm convinced 380 is possible.

@Moonlight_Leaf New idea for Corneria's first mech. It still only gets 130, but I think it's much easier to execute consistently.

if I didn't spend 3 hours chasing a stupid train on Macbeth this probably would have been the 2350 LOL
3rd PB in the last month or so!! hard work paying off
@MightyKeef I knew it was over when they did that. His mental state already made him look like a puppet king. They didn't let anyone run against him. Then they hand-pick his successor without a single vote cast.
If it's not a conspiracy, it sure looked like one. I'm shocked she it was close
@sp1nda_pgh All due respect, but I think that attitude will just make things worse. Saying the AVERAGE republican wants certain people groups dead is demonstrably false. So people on the fence will dismiss your view as ridiculous and start leaning the other way.
That's how we got here.
@MightyKeef I have zero context here, but that statement has become kind of a shorthand for "Your criticism is invalid. Shut up."
It can feel quite dismissive, so I'd say it's pretty natural to expect people to be upset, because they feel their voice isn't being heard.
@toph_bbq It's also why I hate all the hype over "AI". Chat GPT doesn't know any real information. It's just really good at recognizing patterns and format.
It's like the "smart" kid in school who got by without studying by being a good guesser. Looks impressive, but fails when it matters
@toph_bbq Stuff like this is what made me cynical about most education. Even in grade school, I picked up on the fact that 95% of tests are free if you have a solid intuition. The format usually tells you the answer. I wanted to learn, so I studied anyway. But I rarely needed to.
@MightyKeef It's also worth noting that there are way more cops than politicians. So the average person is much more likely to have family/friends in law enforcement than in politics.
@MightyKeef Think of it like health care. Insurance companies and private equity are obviously corrupt, playing shell games to maximize profit.
But doctors deal with everyday people/problems, and most just want to help people.
I think it's logical to view government/cops the same way.
@MightyKeef I never had any plans to play the game. (No real reason, just didn't catch my interest) But this sounds like a pretty balanced take. Thank you for that. It's hard to find realistic perspectives in any kind of game/movie review these days.
@MightyKeef True.
I also think people are fed up with shows being pitched as, "If you don't like it, you're a bigot." And I think ignoring that fact also kills any credibility.
People on both sides tend to over-generalize, and that makes it very difficult to have productive conversations.
@HugS86 I mean, it's basic social media tendencies. Things people don't like will almost always get more attention and discourse than things they do. It's not unique to star wars fans at all.
@MightyKeef I think it's less about the topic and more about the people you're talking to. It takes two people to have a civil, productive debate.
Some individuals are so entrenched they'll never listen. But if you generalize that to a topic, you'll never change the minds of those who would
@Peabnut@LiquidHbox The longer you look, the weirder it gets.
1. MVD same bracket with 3 Melee legends
2. A tournament on 3DS
3. 3 Duck Hunts
4. 2 3rd places (so single elim)
5. Challonge instead of Smash gg
6. Hbox/Puff being top 4 in a Smash 4 bracket
Anything else I missed?
@MightyKeef@MugenLord This sounds like a disagreement of semantics to me.
Black people not using the word won't *make* white people stop using it; but it would remove their excuse, so many of them would stop.
Many white people justify it because they see a double standard and want to retaliate.
@cheyenne_world Many Top Players are egomaniacal social climbers who use their ranking to hold a position of authority over the scene despite doing none of the work to make the events happen. They are social parasites who only care about status.
@MightyKeef For once, there is a third option. Look into RFK Jr. if you haven't already.
I usually try to stay out of politics, but RFK actually seems to have balanced, logical perspectives on most issues instead of just towing a party line to get votes.
