As scientists, ground-truthing is so important. Small diff in veg, mgmt histories, & moisture can often get lost in resources like Ecological Site Descriptions. Walking the ground, while learning from those who steward it, is one of the most important parts of the sci process.

We've been visiting inspiring stewards across the West. We toured the Dugout Ranch, owned by @nature_org. The working ranch is managed by the Redd family. We feel so privileged to learn from the Redds & researchers working to conserve these stunning desert landscapes.

Our rangeland carbon project is looking for two postdocs - one at @LamontEarth & one at @WoodwellClimate (ad coming very soon). This is an amazing opportunity to do data-driven science at scale working in collaboration with multiple on-the-ground conservation organizations.

@uarizona Next is Elana Feldman - our new Project Manager! Elana is an ecologist deeply interested in human interactions with the land, particularly how we can work together to maintain natural areas for a broad spectrum of uses. She is managing our flagship 3 Creeks Grazing Project!

Many exciting things are happening at WLC! We have 2 new team members! First up is Kendall Beals! She is a soil microbial ecologist working with the Lien Lab @uarizona, landowners, & conservationists to identify the effects of rangeland stream restoration on C sequestration.
