When I was sleeping in this shop doorway every morning Monday-Friday a lovely woman would give me a couple of pounds, a coffee & muffin, no judgement, & every morning she made my feel human with a simple "How are you today?"

My uncle, Daniel, died of AIDS in 1984, three years before I was born. A few years ago, I was blessed to meet Nick, a close friend of his who still lives in SF. He had a wall of 8x10 photos of deceased friends in his home and he gave me the ones he had of Dan in a neat folder.

There’s this idea that if we make a strong enough case, behaviour change will follow. So we pass around more & more 'evidence'
But we all KNOW the importance of relationships, kindness, listening & humility. These things dont need more evidence, they need space & ongoing support
