Testing out an extended hopper clock, in #minecraft #bedrock using #redstone copper bulbs for a 6 minute timer. Hopper clocks allow for a maximum of 256 seconds but by adding a bulb I can extend it with 4 stacks & 43 items. Longer times can be achieved with more bulbs.

Do we actually know what causes realms to completely break?

[WowKamui @wowkamui]

@MojangStatus I’ve had reports of players saying they can join but I’ve not been able to. It implies it’s not a problem with the realm itself but the connection for an owner as you access them from a different UI. I hope Mojang release a post incident report so we can understand what happened.

[WowKamui @wowkamui]

@Dagny_Muriel @DanielG11212284 @MojangStatus There’s also the bias in that people don’t tend to visit a status page to complain when it’s working. The majority of the people here are likely to be people like myself who still can’t access their realms.

[WowKamui @wowkamui]

@MojangStatus Unfortunately not, there are still ongoing issues, which seemed to be resolved for a few hours last night but broken again this morning. I can’t access my realm at all at the moment after multiple attempts and relaunches of the game.

[WowKamui @wowkamui]

#minecraft Issue still ongoing, if this is another crowstrike like issue of an array of values missing one which should have been caught by a test I’m not going to be impressed. Still a little concerning that it’s ongoing for a third day.

[WowKamui @wowkamui]

Seems to be an ongoing issue/bug with #minecraft #realms at the moment on #Bedrock. Some times it shows a realm, you click it and then it errors out, other times just nothing appears. This has happened after the recent update and is affecting PC & console. @MojangSupport

[WowKamui @wowkamui]

@MojangStatus The issue seems to still be ongoing as it’s still down for me. 5 attempts over the last hour, tested on both PC and Switch and unable to connect.

I got my advance copy of @PeterHotez's new tour de force book today—a couple of sentences on the back cover encapsulate my thoughts on it and his courageous work

@WholesomeMeme No I picked it up and gently set it outside because it is a living thing deserves to live just like everyone inside the house that are afraid of it.

So in short. Musk refused to pay aws bills. This was due 30th of June. He failed to do so or move twitter services somewhere else in time. Every website in the world that has embedded tweets failed to load tweets and therefore kept on sending requests and thus caused a ddos

Did anyone ACTUALLY estimate the costs of "let it rip" vs the alternatives BEFORE declaring it was good for the economy?

"Long Covid costs already outpaced diabetes in terms of employer health care costs nationwide"

The absolute audacity of this message I want to punch him

“In one of the most notable moments in sports history, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped thinking he had completed the race.

A Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him, and after realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didn't understand his Spanish.

Fernandez eventually caught up to him and instead of passing him, he pushed him to victory.

A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?"
Ivan replied, “My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win.” The journalist insisted “But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win.” The journalist insisted again, “But you could have won!”Ivan looked at him & replied, “But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal?
What would my Mom think of that?”

Values are transmitted from generation to generation.

What values are we teaching our children?

Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways to WIN.”

1 cool thing about minecraft 1.20, is that it finally gave some use/purpose to desert wells, which since their addition to the game back in March 2012, had 0 function.

What other minecraft features/items do you guys think need some updates, so they are no longer as useless?

i saw someone say this already but the minecraft end poem never fails to bring me to tears, just this small section alone makes me weak
