The Maricopa County Attorney's Office has a history of disregarding misconduct. The fact that Erin Otis is still employed as a top prosecutor is no surprise — but voters deserve better.
The next County Attorney MUST prioritize accountability. https://t.co/kcOuPhaNM6
I got the full Tempe Police body camera footage from the night former Arizona prisons director Charles Ryan led them on a drunken, armed standoff, pointing his gun at officers. This went on for 3 hours. Imagine if the police always used this much restraint.

JUST IN: Not guilty on all counts.
Another MCAO / Phoenix PD "gang" case. Pre-trial, judge told prosecutor case was the weakest he'd seen.
To note: CA Rachel Mitchell was personally warned of issues by defense before trial. MCAO forged ahead anyway.

We’re live at the jury selection for #FreeGlenRobertson2020 - already @marcoattorny is trying to stack the deck. Prosecutor Baumann, after MULTIPLE warnings from MULTIPLE judges that MCAO’s case is weak, had the NERVE to try to strike a juror because they’re “not fond of police”.
@nycsouthpaw I hate to be a downer but the police aren’t liable for failing to protect people. Letting those children die was a choice they took to protect themselves. This reminded me of this old Cracked video where I learned this fact 😵💫

It comes as no surprise to us at that Chief Jeri Williams chose to “retire” after being caught in a string of lies. She’s been avoiding accountability at every turn by scapegoating her staff and lying to protect her position. Her retirement, itself, is a lie. #PhxCopCoverUP

Kate, are you seriously still pretending to be blissfully unaware that Geri is resigning because her lies and corruption have been made public? When will you and the City Council address the scandal? #PhxCopCoverUp
@PhxPDChief Jeri Williams announces plans to retire this summer:
“After much prayer and consideration and in consultation with my family and city leadership, I have decided to make a change.”

On @abc15 at 6p, we're back with more in our 'Politically Charged' investigation and the secret recordings from inside PHX PD.
We just obtained an email written by the city manager to council after our reports.
I'll tweet the new TV story later tonight.
