We do the best we can and we follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. I’d much rather face God having done my best and be wrong as to have listened to other people and been wrong.

My point is no one can say God is opposed since He created the Law that had the death penalty. As a Christian, I’m not under that law.

@edstetzer @CTmagazine I think we always want CT firmly in the Evangelical camp but that does not equate to the Christian Nationalist camp. Bad actors on our side should not get Christian support.

way too much. We can debate how evil relative to the Democrats but God doesn’t call us to ally with evil to defeat evil.

@CharlesTingler To be honest no one know for sure. Some people have theorized the sin nature comes from the man’s side and there are some verses to consider like the one saying through Adam all sin came. But not knowing how God did it doesn’t prove Mary was sinless.

@CharlesTingler I think it is funny you use all these various different usages. The problem is this verse says he did not know her until after Jesus was born. That is an actual time. the verse could have said it vastly more clearly if said another way like he did not know her until her death.

Jesus was not a murderous criminal. God commanded public stoning. Saying anyone with a different opinion is for crucifying Jesus is pretty low. I find you a lot more like the crucifiers.

@Elijah1448002 @Pontifex It is fine to have an opinion. My pushback would be the bible commands the death penalty in the Law. That doesn’t mean it is commanded now necessarily but you can’t claim it is inherently wrong. That would make God wrong so not possible.

@88mph121 For sure when they adopted sacramentalism sometime after 1000AD. But the truth covers many doctrines so going bad is not a single moment in history. The reformation is just when it got so bad something drastic had to be done.
