Was re-reading an old book about the Malcom Forbes collection of toy boats. This one, "Andre", reminds me somehow of @TheDreadShips and @Drachinifel. Clearly not a toy for commoners; 47" long, gas powered. Auctioned off by Sotheby's for over $200k back in 2010.
3) A noticeable gap in the Delmarva area. This area has a natural advantage, of being kind-of "sheltered" by the shape of its coastline. This shape works well with typical hurricane motions, which tend to go out to sea. HOWEVER, this does not mean places like Virginia have not been impacted by hurricanes.
Typically, Virginia sees its hurricane impacts when a storm first makes landfall in NC then passes north into the state. There's been a handful of examples, like ISABEL 2003, 1933 HURRICANE, 1896 HURRICANE, and the 1878 GALE. These were fast moving hurricanes that allowed them to travel deep into Virginia, with 1878 being one of the most powerful to ever impact Washington DC.
Virginia direct landfalls are unheard of, but passes through the state are not (however exceptionally rare).
@elonmusk@DOGE In the unlikely event that the Treasury Department ever made an illegal payment, your recourse would be the same as any real US citizen: the court system.
Screw you.
The Pentagon has announced plans to “rotate” out The New York Times, NBC News, NPR, and Politico from their offices at the Pentagon.
In their place, Breitbart, OANN, the New York Post, and HuffPost will take over.
Another classic authoritarian move to replace independent outlets with friendly “media” that will only praise the regime.
Murphy: "Let's not pull any punches about why this is happening. Elon Musk makes billions off of his business with China. And China is cheering at this action today. There is no question that the billionaire class trying to take over our govt right now is doing it based on self-interest."
This is bullshit. Since X requires an account to read tweets, you're forcing every citizen who wants to stay informed to create an account, artificially boosting X's numbers relative to other platforms.
Please commit to posting on Bluesky and Mastodon and Threads as well.
For media covering the airplane crashes in Washington and Philadelphia—all NTSB updates about news conferences or other investigative information will be posted to this X account. We will not be distributing information via email.

Wow: Twitter's new ToS says all disputes will be heard in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas located in Tarrant County (Tesla investor Reed O'Connor's court)
Truly remarkable, considering Twitter's new HQ is NOT in this district, but in western Texas.
A quick look at an abnormal part of today's Vulcan Cert-2 mission. Awaiting more information from ULA.
