@rianflo @TimSweeneyEpic Wayward Terran Frontier simulates ship interiors and crew ai/pathfinding on their own threads so the number of ships you can have in an epic space battle really scales with the number of processor cores you have. Even damage and ship breaking is done async.

They could literally be hand-picking winners and losers in one of the largest growing industries.

#gamedev seems that some late-game latency was being caused by famine in our dynamic economy. Every station is starving to death so every trade ship is trying to buy food at farms but failing due to lack of supply. The endless job searching causes lag. We need farm subsidies.
