Actually not really true for domestic violence, it’s a selection bias, as we tend to focus on male on female abuse as it is much more likely to cause serious injury or death. But female on male abuse is very real, I have the scars to prove it. The other thing has more to do with differences in anatomy and asymmetric reproductive costs.
Now as for the hormones, different individuals have different hormone levels. Testosterone can be too low, or too high. If the levels are too high like say from cancer, or using high dosages of injected testosterone for body building, there is an enzyme called aromatase which will convert some of the excess testosterone into estrogen, leading to elevated estrogen levels. Then you get the short tempered unregulated emotions we used to call “roid rage”. The elevated estrogen from testosterone supplementation can even cause men to start growing breasts in some cases.
@RandyWKirk1@iky_fwjett I think women have typically ruled the household and finaces, leaving men to do the out of the house stuff (waring, trading, hunting, etc.).
If it’s deterministic though, it doesn’t matter who runs the calculations, it would evolve the same either way. And as far as the hand run model inheriting the consciousness of the executor, couldn’t you say the same for the guy who constructed the model on a computer, the authors who contributed to the training set, or even the guy who flipped the power switch on the server?
No, I don’t think these things can be subjectively conscious, unless there is some magic woo in whatever non deterministic random sampling it does.
@GalAtTheTheater@MarcheseMethods It’s more polite I think to do the friend rejection. It’s better for all parties. Talking to a woman who isn’t interested is actually fun anyway.
It’s not objectively wrong, it’s subjectively wrong to most social animals. Society functions better when we don’t have to waste a lot of personal resources keeping people from murdering us. It’s very difficult to organize at large scales if leadership is constantly getting murdered.
