@jdthewlis Wow this is such a cool idea.. I bet with a more detailed prompt, maybe an easier encoding of some of the values, texture selection etc this idea could be taken a lot further. Possibly with an engine whose features are entirely designed around being optimal for this.
@timsoret Blue is it if you are 99.9% sure that the sum of "irrational blue voters" + "voters trying to save the irrational blue voters from themselves" is > 50%. Apparently it was 57.8%, so if you thought you were 99.9% sure about this, you were likely statistically wrong. Thus red it is.
@JNavok AI translation netted us a few negative reviews at EA launch (from China and Russia in particular), so I'd be careful with this advice.
But that was a year ago, so maybe it is better now.. and we didn't do human QA on it either (we're a tiny studio with massive amounts of text).
@rfleury I once made an RTS game prototype with a fat struct for units. It had fields for damage and building ability. I found out while playing that multiple builders not only accelerate construction, they could also accelerate a turrets fire rate to hilarious effect. Free gameplay!
@filpizlo I am not sure how you call that a "preference", I would not be able to complete the kind of projects I do without this "preference". Even "more productive" fails to describe the difference.
I do not just have a "preference" for cars with brakes.
@filpizlo I know those smart people will tell me it means I need to write more tests.. but I think I prefer my "compile time testing" :) Earlier, static-er, high performance, and with 100% coverage ;)
@filpizlo All I know is that people claiming this must be a hell of lot smarter than I am, because I'd be hopelessly lost without types saving my bacon.
I so often get type errors that make me realize I am forgetting a thing that otherwise would have been a silent bug introduced.
