🚨 Anthropic just increased Claude Fable 5 access again

Fable 5 will now remain included on paid Claude plans through July 19:

• Higher access limits for paid subscribers
• Available across Pro, Max, Team and eligible Enterprise plans
• Previously scheduled to leave subscriptions much sooner
• Anthropic has now extended access multiple times following heavy demand
• The model is expected to move to usage-based credits after the promotion ends

Anthropic says it’s responding to demand…
But the timing is interesting, especially as OpenAI released GPT-5.6 and are aggressively competing for the same paying users😂

Prediction:

Anthropic will remove Fable 5 from Claude subs after July 12th.

It will seem like a terrible move, in light of how great GPT-5.6 is…

Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.

After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.

We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.

Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research.

🚨🇮🇳🇨🇳 India, China urge citizens to leave Iran 'as soon as possible'

The Indian Embassy in Tehran advised its nationals “not to travel to Iran, whether by air or land,” citing ongoing airspace restrictions and operational uncertainties due to regional tensions.

It also urged Indian citizens currently in Iran to leave via designated land border routes in coordination with the embassy.

China’s embassy in Tehran similarly warned citizens to avoid travel to Iran, describing the security situation as “complex and volatile,” and advised those in the country to strengthen precautions and leave “as soon as possible.”

🇺🇸 Both advisories come as the US continues its naval blockade of Iran, while US President Donald Trump has decided to extend the ceasefire.

⚠️ Similar notices were issued by foreign missions in late February ahead of the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, raising concerns about a potential repeat scenario.
