They cannibalized D2 for a dying genre and a Lego art style.
This doesn't even look like the original marathon so no brand appeal that way. It's an extraction shooter so most people are out already. It has terrible art direction.
If they thought this was gonna be a success they're crazy.
@Zedris_Z@DjinnMustDie@PaulTassi The verbiage they used explicitly means they saw the population bleed out less in S2 than S1. That's why they stick to %s
@Lord_Raxx@PaulTassi Yep you're spot on. They retained more from S1 to S2 as a % than they did from S0 to S1.
In raw numbers player counts were down, but we saw the population bleeding stop mostly in S2 and we now have our core addicted audience as a baseline.
@RationalJetsFan@jk_rowling@netflix You know someone's a pussy Karen when they refer to people as marginalized.
Bitch it's the land of the free and the home of the brave. If you aren't successful in life it's because you're lazy and passive in your own life.
Grow up. No one marginalized you.
@KnealKp@Drei0909@ivvanex@PlayStation Worth 350 after 200k + the 120k to buy it, after the 5% realtor commission fees you'll break even.
That assumes it stays the sellers market that it is. There's a huge chance that the housing economy is gonna burst like it did in 2001 and everyone will be upside down.
Good move.
@MO4PUBLICINFO@Kitcnlife@TeeJay8311@DonutOperator Yeah you're right. Let's take a couple days and try and decipher if he's gonna kill his family and drive to Mexico.
What do you mean he's already done it and on his way?
He's already in Mexico? How did he get there within 48 hours?
Oh a bus. Cool. We should have reacted faster
Also. Almost 0% of gamers have a PC over $1000 and it'll last them another 10 years of games.
You have to spend that same price every few years just to get access to a more limited selection of games, subject to Sony or Microsoft as your only DRM instead of Steam or GOG, you have to pay to play with your friends.
If you are so stupid that you wander willingly into a trap of thorns, brother you were never worth saving to begin with.
So your position is:
We dont care that we're getting fucked over and the value proposition is absolute dogshit because we're stupid and have no f8nancial literacy. We only care about our immediate needs and are incapable of thinking more than one step ahead.
Sounds like you're both retarded.
Best managers?
Studios regularly get busted for sexual misconduct and it's USUALLY from the managers.
Blizzard, drinking breast milk
Blizzard, crawling under desks to look at girls pussies
Ubisoft, 3 executives silenced every complaint of sexual misconduct and didn't action it.
The MeToo movement?
GamerGate?
These little nerds can't keep their pricks in their pants and hands to themselves when a woman is around.
@davidscottjaffe@NoelFrostpaw Brother all those studios games suck now.
Last good game from Sucker Punch?
2020 - Ghosts of Tsushima
Santa Monica?
2018 - God of War
Naughty Dog?
2020 - Last of Us II
Insomniac?
2020 - Miles Morales
None of those studios have made a significant contribution in this decade
100K is 1 California developer for 1 year. Games take 5+ years.
Dev team of 100 = 50M / 5yr
Community Mgr = 1.25M / 5yr
Game Director = 1.50M / 5yr
Art Director = 1.25M / 5yr
Not to mention all the middle management, community staff, artists, etc that have salaries. Then there's marketing costs like paying streamers to play it, ads on TV and social media, etc.
If you took those devs and hired them in Texas it would be half the cost.
If you fired 80 of the 100 devs and hired 20 really good passionate men to develop your game you'd save even more money and make more when it released
If you fired all the directors and managers except for 1 very passionate project manager and 1 community manager they would see a HUGE cost savings.
Maybe then it doesn't cost 300 million for AC shadows or concord. Both absolute slop failures.
Indie game studios can make games that are far better for less than $1,000,000 because they unite snall multitalented teams with passion and treat them well once the release crunch is up.
Mega corporations pay executives an excessive amount to be a project manager and its part od the budget.
Game director = $400k a year
Art director = $400k a year
Community Mgr = $250k a year
These games take 5-10 years to come out.
That's 10.5 million dollars for 3 people who never contribute more than a decision to the game.
Compare that to GGG where the two people in charge of the company are doing their own coding to cut costs and stay grounded with the product.
Compare to Digital Extremes. Where the CEO is nerding out about light ray reflections and still contributes code to Soulframe after contributing large amounts of code to Warframe.
Now look at Blizzard. Sony. Bungie. Ubisoft. EA.
They spend $10M of the $300M budget on 3 people who manage money. They don't manage the game or care if it's fun. They care about monetizing their product most efficiently.
