Here is a nice paper that just got out of our lab @imp5223 where I had the pleasure to contribute while having fun again with the mechanical and rheological properties (here #thermoreversible!) of an #organohydrogel made of polysaccharides. #greenchemistry https://t.co/6YxthH0lVY
Glad to announce we are looking to hire a PhD student (starting January 2023 @imp5223 ) on the design of tomorrow's silicone rubbers. This is part of #SilGenBeta#ANR project aiming at tuning silicons architecture towards a #bioinspired super #soft & super #stiffening response.
Happy to share this recent review on the use of #nanomechanics to better understand polymer-based #composites behavior, highlighting some of the work (including my PhD) performed at @UCLouvain_be under the wise supervision of Thomas Pardoen!

3D fluorescent mapping of invisible molecular damage after cavitation in hydrogen exposed elastomers led by Xavier Morelle @xavier_morelle and Costantino Creton @CretonCost https://t.co/X1uFDxl0sO
If you know someone interested to start a PhD next fall focusing on the molecular mobility of epoxy networks with increasing degree of heterogeneity @imp5223@insadelyon => feel free to reach out!
Great start of the month with another paper published for the @gfpolymeres 50th anniversary special issue in Polymer! Happy to have contributed to this work highlighting the #multifunctional capabilities of #epoxy network reinforced with #ionicliquid grafted POSS
#fireresistance
Really glad to finally see our recent paper using #mechanochemistry to unveil the molecular damage associated to #cavitation in elastomers (through explosive decompression) be published in @softmatter ! https://t.co/Fkqy8rpC9E
@CretonCost@SIMM_Lab
@zhigangsuo Thanks Zhigang! And yes I still row... but definitely missing a little bit the Charles river, just like the good times with you and the rest of the lab team ;-)
One of our last work with Xi Yao performed during my post-doc in Zhigang Suo's group at Harvard just got published in EML! It focuses on the development of novel anti-icing materials and blankets based on propylene-glycol gels => go have a look at it: https://t.co/bEmLQrRhNi
and for those (registered) who missed my talk, it is still possible to re-watch it for a couple more days on the conference platform (afternoon Session of "Fracture - Extreme Conditions and Surface Preparation" on Tuesday February 23rd )
Just 1week ago, I had the pleasure to present some of our latest work from @SIMM_Lab-ESPCI during this year @adhesion_the Society meeting. Thanks again to the organizers for this very nice event! It was great to mingle with fellow researchers and listen to very interesting talks!
