It is excellent.
They have been banging the same drum for 400 years.
The Guardian has now been told by three sources that in March 2024 Nigel Farage told senior Reform insiders that if he were to resume leadership of the party, and run to be an MP, he would need to be compensated for the financial harm of giving up his City career to spend 20 years campaigning and standing for election again.
Insiders and donors were insistent that Farage needed to return and to take Reform into not only a 2024 general election but a 2029 one, too. He argued that would cost him £5m, the sources said.
No mention was made of security costs in the discussions about needing to replace lost earnings, sources said.
BREAKING: @BylineTimes can exclusively confirm that in 2014 - six years after Jeffrey Epstein’s conviction for soliciting a minor - Nick Candy (now Reform UK's Treasurer) travelled to New York to view the financier’s Manhattan townhouse as a potential purchaser.
A final piece of advice from Holly Butcher - written the day before she passed away from cancer at just 27:
“It’s a strange thing knowing you’re going to die young.
At 26, I thought I had time…
To fall in love.
Start a family.
Grow old.
But cancer doesn’t care about plans.
Now, I understand how fragile life really is. Every single day is a gift, not a guarantee.
I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing to remind you: really live.
Stop stressing over little things. Be kind to your body- move it, nourish it, stop criticizing it. One day you’ll wish you had appreciated it.
Go outside.
Look at the sky.
Feel the sun.
Just be.
Spend less time chasing “stuff” - more time making memories. Don’t skip moments with people you love.
Laugh more.
Write a note.
Tell someone you love them.
Complain less.
Give more.
Helping others brings more joy than anything you can buy.
Be present.
Put your phone down.
Show up - really show up.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect body, or a perfect life.
Just follow what makes your heart light up. Say no to what drains you. Make changes when you need to.
And please - donate blood. I wouldn’t have had that extra year without it. And that year gave me memories I’ll hold close… forever.
Thank you for reading this.
Live your life well.
And maybe… we’ll meet again someday.”

Fourteen countries have warned Russia that its “shadow fleet” tankers will no longer be able to sail freely in the Baltic Sea.
A joint statement by Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the UK was published on the British government’s website.
The countries said that tankers that change flags, switch off transponders, and/or lack the required documentation will be considered vessels without state affiliation and may be detained without legal consequences.
The signatories also accused Russia of interfering with global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), which are used for ship navigation and precise time synchronization critical for rescue operations.
“These interferences originating from the Russian Federation impair the safety of international shipping. All ships are at risk.
The falsification or manipulation of AIS data also undermines safety and security at sea, increases the risk of accidents, and seriously complicates rescue operations,” the statement said.

Representing Roman Abramovich - a sanctioned Russian oligarch - while serving as Conservative shadow Attorney-General risks a huge conflict of interest.
Kemi Badenoch needs to make a choice. Either Lord Wolfson continues as shadow AG or advises Abramovich.
He can’t do both.
