The new Echelon Insights National Poll has Harris ahead of Trump on the economy, this is the first poll I'm aware of where that's happened https://t.co/MVzkhf16RZ
@JosephPolitano The underlying assumption that Musk and others are making is that they didn't hire enough white guys, and some vague underqualified "diversity hire" must have fucked it up because a white guy would never.
The goal is to stigmatize hiring women/minorities in senior roles.
@eigenrobot On one hand, not great that they're trying this. But on the other, it's really funny that they've pumped a quarter-billion dollars into the US with nothing to show for it.

@eigenrobot the one thing that might prevent it would be the potential backlash from Asian Americans and that potential to impact the bottom line. Movie studios are run by executives who want to make money, and it was the globalization of the industry killed off nation-specific bad guys.
@eigenrobot In 2011, MGM tried releasing an updated Red Dawn with China as the antagonist, and China leaned on them so hard they were forced to change the bad guy to North Korea.
If our economies continue to decouple, we might see that sort of media again, but...

@kkkkeafsaaaaf @OzKaterji Ah, thanks for the context. I guess you take the wins you can get. I'm hoping that we can all get through this shit together and emerge stronger. Good luck!
@bariweiss Hey! I liked your article, but you made an error. According to the chart you cited, 25% of millennial MEN think that asking someone for a drink is harassment. No idea what's up with that. https://t.co/ubmd2vnKy9
@DPJHodges Not a fair comparison. AL switched from D to R b/c of Southern white racial realignment. Shifting demographics and an awful R candidate made a bi-racial coalition viable this year. Presidential approval rating isn't dependent variable. AL voted R in '08 even after W low approval.
