And that’s a wrap on Intermediate First aid, Basic Seamanship and Basic Catering this weekend. BZ to all the classes and good luck to those on assessment on Tuesday!
Thanks to all the instructors who gave their time to deliver this training weekend.
No we didn’t have a casualty today but we did have a visit from @Role1Medical to our cadets on the intermediate first aid course! Cadets had a greater understanding of the role post first aid from the medical services!
Only possible with the support of our families and our employers. I couldn't have been part of this team with the support of Mrs S @palmsquirrel and my #teamfisher@CapitaPlc colleagues. All set for track week starting Monday.
Not that I intend to use the @RNLI mainly cause @westall_chris would never let me forget it but; after buying a kayak, along with a whistle and buoyancy aid I also became an #RNLI member. You can as well. 👇 https://t.co/MTDNPEL67C
@gavinemmett@btsport Great coverage today. Liked how you & @NeilHodgson100 weaved in background info for the potential new watchers on ITV with it being too obvious.
@SportsOrla I agree with most comments in that the riders have a great advocate in Adam Hansen, with the welfare of the riders the main priority but if the same issue had occurred in a men race, and a letter/press release issued, would their gender have been mentioned 10 times?
Hey @GarminUK think there's something amiss in Connect. When I converted from open water swim to Kayak it seems to think I was going twice the speed I sound.
I can neither confirm nor deny whether the capsized kayak had anything to do with me.😕 Evenings like this are why I'm an adult #volunteer for @SeaCadetsUK. Great times passing on skills and knowledge to the next generation.
Our cadets got up close and personal with @SeaCadetsUK Flagship TS Royalist on Thursday whilst on the water. Many of our cadets have fond memories of voyages they’ve already been on!
Meanwhile our Juniors enjoyed their first night of Kayaking in the marina!
The unit was absolutely thrilled to get stuck into the ‘Big Help Out’ to mark the coronation of HM King Charles III.
Our breakfast event was aimed at the whole service community; regular, reserve and veterans. It was undoubtedly a success.
