So here's my view of it. I tried to focus into when I believe the ball started to come out. The more I watch this, the more I think the refs got the call of TD wrong.

You can easily provide evidence that someone said something with video or actually named sources. You can’t prove you never said something without recording your entire life.

@footballzebras There’s no way replay could reverse that safety call. For starters with a penalty, the player’s whole body has to be out of the end zone to avoid a safety. Furthermore, the ball wasn’t even completely out of the end zone by the time he let go. I agree on grounding

@chewtunes @NFLOfficiating I agree the refs got it wrong, but if you watch the whole game replay, you’ll see the refs inexplicably called Sanchez down by forward progress in the end zone, and did not actually rule this intentional grounding

Regardless if this ball didn’t “land”, like you said, that also would not meet the definition of “realistic chance of completion” and therefore still be intentional grounding
