Extremely severe extinction events happen every 100M years or so and just switching to sustainable energy will not be enough to stop them.
Space satellites to control temperature and massive geo-engineering will be needed or it will be game over.

This is awesome. I’ve worked with Sue for more than a decade now. She started Brilliant - a learning site for advanced learning - which has now taken all of that decade-long training data and created a helper to make your kids smarter.
It doesn’t matter their level, this adapts to them and brings them along.
Please consider trying it.
What an absolutely disgraceful response by the Colombo Swimming Club, filled with inaccuracies and falsehoods.
1. The parents were never told to take their children out of the pool because the club itself consented to a pool party, even though previous committees had stopped such events. Their reasoning was simple: one lifeguard is not enough to watch over multiple children. A later committee changed this rule. Why did you allow an eight-year-old to have a pool party in the first place?
2. Your lifeguard was absent at the critical moment. This is clear from both the parents’ police statements and multiple eyewitness accounts. His excuse was, “I went to get some towels.”
3. First aid was administered not by your staff but by a doctor who happened to be a parent at the party. The club failed to call an ambulance in time, forcing one parent to run to the Kollupitiya Police Station. Parents also requested to verify the timeline using CCTV footage, but you claimed the car park cameras were not working and that poolside cameras had been removed because “members complained about privacy.”
4. The boy was not taken to the hospital by the club. He was rushed there by a kindhearted member who happened to be at the gym and noticed the commotion.
5. Do not claim credit for hospital care. The club never, not once, called the parents to check on their son’s condition. The hospital is five minutes away, yet you did not even have the basic decency to make a call.
Everything I have stated is backed by police statements and eyewitness accounts. For your management to release such a shameful response is an insult to a once great club that has been run to the ground by misfits.
The parents, once their child recovers, will sue. And I sincerely hope these ridiculous statements are repeated in court so the entire country can hear.
Shame.
@NewsWireLK They should also focus on promoting through Sri Lankan brands businesses events sports teams functioning in other countries to spread the message and utilize these formats
Mr. President, bravo, congratulations for what you have achieved - Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ms. Kristalina Georgieva
@alisabrypc@anuradisanayake maybe we can start something very simple, email approvals via software like docusign. Scrap the lengthy approvals via letters that fill cabinets that fly back & fro. All we need is judicial approval to accept digital signatures legal as done in many countries
@elonmusk@DOGE The only reason I selected yes instead of super yes is because I was too eager and soon as I saw the yes I stopped reading beyond. #superyes
